Presumably , enough to understand the meaning of the name of the religion of Islam , one has to know that it is a religion for peace . " Assalamu Alaikum " ( Peace to you ) , one can appreciate that peace is desirable not only for yourself , but also for the other party . If so , do not be surprised if one of the characteristics of a Muslim , is like the words of the Prophet : "Who saved others ( who crave peace ) from his tongue and hand disorders " .
Peace is one of the main characteristics of Islam . It was born from the view of the teachings of Allah , Almighty God , nature , and humans .
Allah , God Almighty , is the One, the One who created all things by His will alone . All of His creation is good and compatible, so it is unlikely that deliver goodness and harmony to chaos and conflict . From here stems the peace among all His creation .
Living beings are created from a single source :
" We created all life and water " ( Surah Al - Anbiya ' [ 21 ] : 22 ) .
Man, that is one element of the living , also created from a source that is thin ( soil mixed with water ) through a father and a mother , so that people not only have to live side by side and in harmony with other human beings , but also with the creatures another life , even with the universe , let alone be on this earth . Is not its existence is born of the soil , the earth where he rests , and later he will be back there ?
Thus the basic idea of the teachings of Islam , which gave birth to the necessity of peace for all beings .
True that religion is ordered to prepare to face the enemy force . But it is nothing but a preparation - in the words of the Koran - is to scare them ( which is intended to bring forth chaos and disintegration ) (Surat Al - Anfal [ 8 ] : 60 ) . War - if there - is not justified except to get rid of persecution , it was within certain limits . "If they are inclined to peace , then welcome the trend, and am left surrender to Allah" ( Surah Al - Anfal [ 8 ] : 61 )
